This time I mostly avoided the main road. During those 4 hours I was observed by series of cows, sheep, horses and even donkeys. By the way, the last ones are by far the most cowardly.
Also, I almost got attacked by a dog again! I don’t know what is wrong with them… Even dogs being 200m away were barking at me from that distance. That’s crazy!
Dogs aside, it was very pleasant to ride on a peaceful road across the whole day. Compared to yesterday, the elevation was quite okay until the last 10km where I was hit by two climbs in a row. After those, I was done for the day.
Finally, I found a nice little campsite in Waipu Cove, a bit less expensive than the previous one but still $20NZD. My budget of $15NZD is smashed again. Hopefully, I will find some work soon!
